Super Negroni

This was actually my first foray into Negroni experimentation. Prior to moving to Pittsburgh, I was at a bar here and saw this weird spirit that I had never heard of on draft. Super Punch is an Italian amaro, but I think it only gets imported to Pittsburgh and maybe a few surrounding areas. It has become one of my favorite spirits to drink. Granted, I think it tastes a bit like cherry Nyquil, so be warned! But I have also actually gone out of my way to mail bottles to friends, random bars I’ve visited, and basically anyone who has requested a bottle. I love it. It is also, quite possible, the only thing that can potentially overtake Campari! The flavor is a bit sweeter than a standard Negroni, but I think the Super Punch and Campari really balance each other out well. If you’ve got a bottle of this, a) stick it in your fridge b) try this out.

1 oz Gin (doesn’t matter… any flavor the gin has will be overpowered by both Campari and Super Punch)
