Boulevardier

I am generally not a fan of Boulvardiers. I usually find the sweetness of the bourbon plus the sweetness of sweet vermouth to be a cloying combination that the Campari cannot overcome. However… we have a lot of bourbon. I had bottled some Wigle Bourbon at cask strength (100 proof) and decided to try that with Del Professore Classico, which is not a sweet vermouth but also not a dry vermouth. This is the Boulvardier variation that I’ve been wanting! It had the balance of a Negroni, but still with the flavor of bourbon. Minus the cloying sweetness.

1 oz Cask-strength Bourbon
1 oz Campari
1oz Del Professore Classico
