Raspberry Bling Bling Negroni

Not all the Negronis featured here will be trash, but I felt like I had to start off with a reasonably trashy Negroni. I really love raspberries to the point where I will try almost anything if it is raspberry flavored. So when my spouse found this MD 20/20 Blue Raspberry online, I told him to buy it once I heard it was $4.99. Why not? Alone, it tasted a bit better than I expected and moderately sweet. Plus, it’s a “wine,” so I figured it could make a fun substitute for vermouth in my favorite cocktail. However, as this reviewer describes, I did not get a strong raspberry flavor. It also was not quite sweet enough to counter the Campari, so I went ahead and split that third with Mathilde Framboise Liqueur. The end result was passable and, to be honest, not the worst Negroni I have had! However, the MD 20/20 had a bit of a bite then ended up clashing with the bitterness of the Campari. If you’ve got some lying around and don’t know what to do with it, this isn’t a bad option! Note: I can generally day-drink like a champ and have no problems, but just an ounce and half of this gave me a weird headache.
